OT: Dating...Older man/younger woman or Older woman/younger man

 I'm 29 so I'm thinking the oldest ill go is  38, had one he couldnt keep up if you know what I mean

I don't have any hard and fast rules with the numbers.  As I get older I constantly adjust my idea of what is 'old'.  I always imagined myself with a man my age or a couple of years older.  The last guy I dated was exactly one week younger than me and that didn't work out oh so well.  I've been involved with men 12 yrs older than me.

I'm attracted to maturity, stability and having a good head on your shoulders.  If you're over 30 and still living in your mother's place no need to look my way.  Can't keep a job over 6 months?  I'm not interested.

I've got a younger brother that is 24 and I look at some of his friends and think...hmmmm he's cute, but I think of them as babies-I can't bring myself to go there.

Lexi, you brought up a valid point with that age range....truth be told - there ARE some young'unz who need drug assistance, etc....at least that is what I heard...

I've dated as much as 17 years younger than I was and as old as 20 years older at different stages in my life.

Quite frankly, it all depends on a sense of maturity and that goes for younger AND older.   I say that because I've known many younger women who have a maturity and self-awareness that goes way beyond their years.  On the other hand, I've known some older than I am who have said and done things that have made me scratch my head. 

Lately, with the advent of the cougar, I find that women my age seem to want younger men than I am.  Therefore,  what's a healthy red-blooded, 46 year old black man to do?  Go younger. lol. 

I'm kidding.  My range, honestly, is between 27 and 52.  

attracted to dudes with the same time-frame references i have, give or take.  so in my head i say if you don't know who colonel abrams is or your mama never hung a wooden spoon/fork set up on the dining room wall, you're either too young or too old for me. 

I'm a cougar as well but I tell you this either way it goes.
