I think I'll sit this one out.

I need to vent a little.

For a number of reasons I've been weak lately.  Although my current plan is working for me and I am doing better than I have since wls, I am more tempted than ever to create a cluster fkcu.

As a result, I've decided not to go away for the holiday weekend.  I realize that I just cannot handle it.  I've slipped twice in a one week time frame and made up for it by adjusting my cardio and diet.  There is no way I can reasonable recover from a weekend long fkcu up without slowing my progress or God forbid gaining weight.

I normally travel with no issues; but this time I will be in an enviornment where compliance will be tough and require my complete dedication.  I want to kick myself because I know I would have a good time.  I also know that the weekend is not worth how I will feel come Tuesday morning when I tally the results and weigh in.

Thanks family for listening.

I'd be alright in a hotel.  Its this full house with the peeps that I can't do.  Just got my new ride last week and planned to cruise on to Myrtle Beach, SC in my brand new pre owned camry.

Like you said, limitations is the key!  Biscuts, fried chicken, catfish stew and that SC barbeque from the shack with a pig from off the yard?  Can't handle that without busting up this pouch.

Way to show dedication to your new lifestyle.  There will be many more holiday weekends when you are feeling more sure of yourself.

Stay strong.

Thanks all.  I needed the validation.

I've been fretting with this all day long.  I finally had to ask myself what would the BAF vets who are working their programs do?  I had my answer.

I'll probably hit a club since liquor does not tempt me in the least.  I can just sip bottled water and dance my ass off.  More cardio!

Hey Marcia,
I am there with you my friend because I know I would wish I could it all out Tuesday morning and lose the weight that I may have picked up with my weekend pass to carbville.  I am going with the three bite rule with my sides on Monday.  Three bites only of dirty rice, baked beans and potato salad.  My doctor was so sure when I left last Friday that I would weigh in under 189 on 09/09/09 so I can't let her or myself down.  I have several events to attend this weekend and I will have my disguised daiquiri cup with some type of crystal light in it .

Hey Faith,

Love that 3 bite rule.  It got me through a wedding reception with a ginormous home cooked buffet and I tasted nearly all of it.

This time I'm so beyond 3 bites.  I can't stop thinking about food.  Got food on the brain even when the pouch is full, anything will do.

Its these damned steroids.  I know its the chemicals talking but Its making me crazy.  Pre wls I used ff pretzels and apples to get me through this.  Its the first time this has happened post op and I have not found a pouch friendly cure.
