I act like what....

I am so tired of "ignorant" black folk, not all, just the ignorant ones; Telling me "you act and sound so white". What is acting and sounding white, is it because I choose to properly format my sentences when I am dealing with my clients, or is it because I decided to get an education. Believe this I know when to be hood, I know when to be professional, and I know when your a freaking idiot.

This is my business what do you expect me to be like "ay yo customer let me holla at you a min homeboy, see yo the problem which ya business is...".

Little do this little young ignorant fool know, is that I know more African American and African history then her small ignorant mind can capacitate.

One thing I don't act like is that I am better then people, I know that I am not, and I am aware that we are all equal. Secondly, if I acted so white wouldn't I be out here feeling all up on the Snow Bunny's.
Well, personally I love me a; strong, sexy, spicy, intellectual black WOMAN who about her business.

How do you guys feel about this, do you feel like people can "act white"? or Have someone ever told you this?

In elementary school in the 70's kids, said I 'talked funny', lol.  Screw em all.  I'll take educated and intelligent over living up to a stereo type.  You are so right about knowing our history.  In my experience, the ignoramus who thinks I'm a wannabe knows the least about his own cultural history.

These fools need to realize that being Black and American crosses a multitude of backgrounds.  We are no more 'generic Black' than white or any other Americans are of a single cultural, social or economic background.  It just makes sense that we speak and carry ourselves according to our total background.  Why do so many believe we need pop culture to define us as individuals?
