Hey MM, I think if most young girls today had the SAME mindset women had 15-20 years ago, guys would RESPECT women more these days.

That said, I have NO TIME for casual dating..LOL, I am NOT 25 years old and just want to "kick it",  so I was looking for a guy that was commitment minded and ready to settle down. I think that is why a WHOLE lot of sistas are single today, they are "waiting" for that brotha to marry them and they will casual date for "years" and I have a lot of friends that have been "waiting" for that brotha to make a move, they are getting grey hairs right about now.

So to sum it up....when I was dating on Match...I told many guys UPFRONT, that I was not looking to date or just kick it...NO FREEBIES HERE..lol, I hate dating, I was ready for marriage, this way it scared off the guys that was not commitment minded and this way I could focus on the guys that WAS commitment minded. Also when you meet THE ONE, you will know it from the git-go, so when there is mutual attraction and interests commitment is not far away...by the way...my sweetie told me he loved me the first time I met him, but again, we had talked for a whole month before we met in person and we already had lots of chemistry prior to meeting. He would send me long love letters EVERY MORNING, he is extremely romantic, and when we finally did the do...and I found that he was packing like a brotha..that sealed the deal...sorry you asked.

You can't always count on this.  When I was dating I met some lowlife types who would pretend to be interested in a serious relationship in order to get over.  There are a lot of women out there who are desperate for one and they count on this to play their games.  I think the key is observing to see if the man's words match his deeds.

I SO agree with this...this is why I made SURE an EXPENSIVE ring was on my finger, talk is cheap, this way I know he was serious with me....so if he leaves that's his loss....but again, nothing is guaranteed...there have been MANY marriage breakup over 20-30 years, nothing is full proof..LOL...that's is just the risks we take when we fall in love....
