Need Help Food Questions
Hey all,
My family reunion is coming up this weekend and I was banded about 1 month ago just got my first fill last week. So I have some restriction but not much my question is what are some suggestions on what I can eat. You all know how we do at the family reunions fried fish, BBQ, and all kinds of bad stuff. The reunion is out of town so I will be staying at a hotel and will not be able to cook my own food. I’m trying to plan this thing so I don’t mess up to bad.

But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

you may want to get those little tiny pre packed tuna kits, that have crackers and tuna already made, they are low in calories and you can just pack them, also yogart is a good snack as well, I would not worry about BBQ, it is protein so you can't do much damage with that, just eat in moderation, you will be fine, I have done well eating regular food, just make sure you focus on proteins and not too many carbs or sweets...have fun!
Most hotels have good breakfast options so make sure you start your day off right with a good breakfast. Make sure it contains protein. (Bacon is not a protein, fyi)! Go for eggs with veggies or a hard boiled egg with oatmeal, etc. If you skip breakfast you will have a harder time resisting the junk you may be exposed to through out the day.
At the BBQ focus on the meat. While BBQ sauce has a lot of sugar, it's still better than eating cake, etc. Use a SMALL plate and dish up your meal. DONT go back for seconds.
You can eat regular food, just pack healthy snacks like raw almonds, protein bars and beef or turkey jerky in case you get stuck feeling hungry.
Focus on the real reason you are going...to see family. Carry around your water where ever you go and enjoy seeing love ones you haven't seen for a while.!
