Never drink regular ever since childhood. I've had diet maybe twice post op? I just don't love it like I used to.

V'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
I gave it up the night before my pre op liquid diet agt midnight to be exact....I LOVED sodas!!!!!! Last week I was sick and wanted some ginger ale soooo bad...but I haven't had any so far...one day at a time and not planning on drinking it...but I have a friend who is 4 years out and a size four who drinks diet sodas and sugar free red bulls like nobody's business....so Im not sure about the stomach stretching theory..but Im not willing to test it at this point!
I HATE diet sodas!!! But I do drink (or should I say take two sips of) regular Coke, Sprite, and Ginger Ale. About once a week I will get a few sips for indigestion. I found that I was having problems with gas on my stomach, no matter what I ate, and the only thing that would work was carbonation. So, I put a little baking soda on the back of my tongue and take about 3 sips of soda...and then I burp for an hour and my stomach feels MUCH BETTER! But as far as just 'drinking' soda, as in turning it up? Nope, can't do that, haven't been able to since before surgery. It seems to burn now, so after the 3 sips, I can't tolerate anymore of it.

I don't do regular sodas - I will do diet every once in a while - but I've found that when I do - they make me hungrier so I have to cut them back out very quickly.
I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions! I'm saving on the newsstand price.......
