Heyyyy!

So I'm 19, and had WLS one year ago w/ a weight loss totaling 154lbs. Now I know I look DAMN good [as do all you lovely people so congrats!!] but one thing I still haven't gotten used to is all this new attention from men.

Don't get me wrong, it's FABULOUS! But I still feel really on edge, thus making me turn down like allll requests for dates. Am I buggin?!

I'd love to hear advice from both a man and woman's point of view : )

Stay FAB!

Ummmm..... you're young - so why are you turning down dates?

And you're only 19 - how many dates do you think you 'missed' out on?

Girl - you are just starting!  Let the past go and walk out on faith as the NEW you - date, have fun, don't get serious with anyone until you WANT to!  Just cause you go on a date doesn't mean you have to do a dayum thing except go out!

Heck, If *I* had WLS at 18 and was THIS fine at 19....... shiiiitttttttt...... ~smh~ don't EVEN get me started up in here...... LOL!!!!

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

It may take some time to build your confidence but don't turn down all the offers! But do pick wisely there's nothing wrong with having standards but don't be scared to live your life! ENJOY!

What a wonderful time in life for you!

I'm sure it's a bit jarring to have this all going on at once, but relax, take it all in, and enjoy dating and your new 'celebrity'!  Your options are many!

Have fun!

First off..........you are beautiful...was before surgery, and still are

Kudos to you for taking a huge step to get your health in check at your tender age....girlfriend you just brought yourself years and years of good times and blessings. So treasure your gift.

Now as for the dating....enjoy the offers, use discretion when deciding to say yes.  Do the group thing cause that makes it easier to get to know people. But also take the time to find out what YOU like. Learn to be your own best friend.....when you are comfortable in your own skin  and in your own company.......you can be that  for somebody else as well.

Most of all enjoy  life......there is so much more to see and do.  Listen to me sounding like your mom...Im sorry but I have a soon to be 17 yr old and this is what I have told her about  boys and dating.

Best wishes !

In life,  and especially on this journey there are sure to be days when you falter and give in.......just remember to never give up.

GIRL!!!! if I had had surgery at 19, I would have been scheduling Monday thru Saturday. You know I have to take Sunday off for the Lord.
All through my high school and early 20's I was so insecure about my weight I did not do a lot of dating or partying or any of that stuff. So enjoy it girl!!!!

Speaking as a super hot chick myself,  I will advise you well young one.

You can't help it if your hot,  and because you are hot men are going to notice.    Like MM said, you date and have a good time.   It is so good you had your WLS so early on in your life that is one of my biggest regrets, but I was pretty hot in my 20's though so I guess it's ok.

Enjoy the attention, as long as they aren't grabbing on you just soak it all in and have fun.

You are most definetly bugging!

At 19 you should be out all the time.  If you were my daughter I'd chain the door on Friday and Saturday nights and force you to either date or sit outside until whenever a date should be over.  Well after midnight.

Get out there and enjoy your youth.
