OK so tuesday the 1st i will be going back to work. i well be exactly 4 weeks out. i just wanna know are there anu suggestions on food i can take to work, and liquids. as i said in my previous post i pretty much eat what i want...(healthy) with no problems. im not on pureed or soft food, just regular food. so any suggestions will work. and for some reason it seems it takes mu stomach a long time to "wake up". in the morning when i eat i am very gassy and it just does not feel good. how far along out are you?  what are you eating now?

is there anything you don't like to eat?

how many meals are you thinking you'll eat at work?

do you have a fridge and/or microwave at work?

I would suggest you keep peanut butter crackers on hand - never know when you will have an upset tummy moment.

and cheese - string or cubed for snacking

The most important thing - establish and KEEP a schedule.  I always did and have.  Everyone at my job KNOWS not to book a call or meeting during Mack's lunch or you WILL NOT have the kind of nice meeting you may have been intending...... LOL

And water - not sure if you might have a tank cooler or if your job provides filtered water - but you also should plan out your intake during the day - it's easy to get busy with work and forget YOU - but you cannot afford to do that.

Good luck and happy return to work!!!! (is there such a thing? LOL)

I've been taking tuna, string cheese, sandwich meat, applesauce and cottage cheese. Monday was my first day back, and I just munched on all of that for my lunches all week!

In the morning you might want to try some warm water, that might help your stomach wake up.  For snacks I take almonds (suggested serving size), string cheese or the Laughing Cow cheese, yogurt.  Be sure to drink your water and your protein shake.

Take it easy at work.  This was my first week back and I thought I was ready to do full blast-not.  Monday night my whole body ached.  Try not to over do it.

Good Luck on your time back at work!

Andrea
