I'm Heading Back to Surgery

And I'm ecstatic!!!!

My gallbladder is finally coming out on Monday. The problem started four years ago and I was diagnosed with chronic cholecystitis . The gastroenterologist suggested adding gastric bypass to the surgery thus creating the start of my journey. But surgery was delayed and I was left to manage my pain. Well not anymore.

My dear, deteriorating, painful gallbladder....

you will not be missed. However, I will be forever grateful to you. The issues that you caused me introduced me to a world that I never knew. I'm going to request that you are placed in a jar of preserving fluid. When I'm reaching for fatty or useless foods, you will serve as a reminder....

Thanks Sue. The surgeon gave me four weeks off. If all is well, I'm only taking off a week.

Morning again Hope!

I'm pretty sure the nurse at my surgeon's office thinks I'm crazy. When I told her I wanted my gallbladder and explained why, she replied "I'll put in the request".
