The Psyche of a Troll

Hey BAF Family,

I am really curious about the mindset of a person who would want to be a bottom feeder by setting up a troll account just to start shioot. I mean the main aspect of its character is clear. It lacks courage to say what on its mind using its own identity. I imagine a lot of this behavior is about attention seeking as well. Perhaps it has little in life to keep it entertained or excited...that it thrives off of trying to create drama on here for kicks. I thought we would take the opportunity to give  our resident trolls a little feedback as to what we perceive are possibly their character defects. I call  this an intervention. Just maybe we might facilitate the trolls on this board getting the help they need. I doubt it but its worth a shot.

I think the things that perplexes me is whether the troll is a stranger or whether the troll is someone that we communicate with regularly.  I know it could be either. I would hope its the former...because it has no ties to this online community. If the troll is one of the regulars, I would say that this person is more sicker than the other because they are in essence leading a double life. I wonder if they do that IRL. 

Now one thing to keep in mind when replying to this thread...if a troll shows up and decides to post a reply...please IGNOR it. Attention is like steroids...it only makes it stronger.

Trolls, lives so shallow and inconsequential that without a make a  believe cyberlife there is  nothing.  Can you imagine how bad, how sad your life must be if even your on line persona is in hiding?  In a world where you can be anyone you want, all you can be is a troll?  Doesn't get any more pathetic does it.

You know its sort of strange but at times its hard for me to see the troll as a human being. Its an "it" not a him or her. I mean who would want to be equated to basically a monster. Its really sad when you really think about it. The person is definitely lacking something critical in his or her life. Then again maybe he or she is not really looking at those in the online community as humans but rather as toys for his or her enjoyment. Perhaps it really is not that deep and the person is just  a fuggin azzhole.... on here trying to gain some control that they can't exhibit IRL.  Either way...I do think they need help.
