is it just me?
I have a different pattern.
My waistline shrunk first but it was the last area to expand so I figured lifo (last in first out) was the way it worked. To follow, breast, thighs and butt even when the scale was not moving.
Over the last month my face has started getting smaller. Not pretty, I don't want to be the first in my family with wrinkles.

V'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
In my case I feel that I gained in my face last and that's when I knew that I had to do something! Therefore I lost in my face first! I've always had big legs, butt and thighs, which is a bad body shape to have when gaining weight b/c you don't notice it as fast! You see that you are going up in sizes, but you make excuses.......
"I may be a size 16, but I still look good,"
"Oh **** now I'm a size 20, Babe how do I look?"
"You still look good!!"
"Okay!" Cut me another piece of cake!![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/biggrin2.gif)
"Oh my God I'm a size 28 do I still look good?"
"Yeah Babe you do!!"
Then you see a picture of yourself!
"Look at my face, I don't even recognize myself, I have to do something about this!!" LOL!
When I lost weight the countless of times b4 weight loss surgery, I lost in my face first too! I just think it is the way most of us tend to lose weight. plus your face is exposed, people will notice that b4 they notice other parts that clothes tend to cover!

I was backwards -- my weight loss started with my ankles, feet, lower legs and waist. I immediately lost a shoe size. The face was next and I'm still waiting for it to extend to the arms . . .LOL!

Hey, that is actually something I can answer thanks to my surgeon. He said it depends on where you carry your weight. I happen to carry mine like a "man" which is around my waist, according to him, so he said it would be at least six months at least before I would notice any real results in the lower half of my body. So for those who are in a similar situation, weight loss is always first noticable in the upper body, beginning with the face.
i have always noticed that too, and that's one of my "concerns" about my end result. my bottom half is disproportionately larger than my top half. i don't want to look like a snow man, although i don't mind the "junk" as much as the tree trunk thighs. I have managed to avoid the "cankles" so far, but at this rate, i am a celery stick away from them. that will say alot for my toning... whew..
