Sorors w/ RNY in Chicago

I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and I am wondering if there are any of my Sorors (Chicago Area).

I may be searching for a Angel. I really only know 1 person that has had RNY.

Third question....I was denied DS ( just posted that information a few mins ago). So with much prayer and thought...I have chose to have RNY. The thought of 75% of my stomach gone forever frightens me...

Just wanted to say it sounds really funny that the thought of 75% of your stomach being removed all of a sudden frightens you.  Less than 48hrs ago you were drinking the kool-aid.  Quite honestly, you were wearing me the hell out with your 10 posts a day, avie all over the damn DS board. LOL.  Be real, it has nothing to do with the surgery and everything to do with the fact that you were denied.

That said, I am very sorry that you were denied, and encourage you to look further into the appeals process if a DS is what you truly want.  I know, easy for me to say since I didnt have to fight it out with Aetna.  Just know that if it's what you want, it can be done.

I truly believe that one's WLS decision is their own and sincerly wish you the best regardless of what direction you decide to take.
