I'm not sure.  I think in my case when I have been too open in the past it was because I was seeing little red flags pop up and was trying to convince myself I was in a good relationship.

 i think people are just generally happy. peoples lives are broadcasted on the internet, nowadays, so it makes sense that you see a lot of information about someone's relationship on OH, FB, MS, etc. 

i don't necessarily think there's anything wrong with it; depending on the person, they may be more or less comfortable with letting the world into their relationship.

as for me - i didn't necessarily broadcast things about my last guy. didn't change my name on sites, etc. i may have had updates & things that were about him, because i was happy about something ... but nothing more than that. that's just me, though! i definitely have friends who do that ... and i just smile at it, because they're obviously happy.

if there IS a line (i can't really say there DEFINITELY is a line, because all of it is personal preference / personal decisions / what's right for _____ person), the line would be speaking openly about specific issues. that's a breakup/divorce waiting to happen.

other than that - if you're happy & want me to know it ... cool fricken beans.

I happily changed my avatar and I might mention that we are going somewhere or that we walk together but that is about it.  My relationship and what he does for me is not an open book. I have learned from that mistake in the past.  sitting here waiting for your return...

I have so much going on right now and within the near future that I have not been able to work on it like I should have been doing.  I will post in a couple of weeks whether I am going to go through with it or to cancel it.
