I think sugar alcohols are making my weight plateau/1st Fill 8/12 No Weight lost.

I have been eating the Atkins chewy nut bars that taste like a snickers bar about once a day. I swear since I had my first fill on Aug. 12 I have not lost a damn pound. Maybe it's because the Dr's office only gave me 3 cc's instead of the 5 cc's they originally planned. They told me I was losinf weight on my own so they did not want to over fill me. I started at 257 lbs and I am now standing still at 232.6 lbs. This is driving me so batty!

Any ideas?

I think you might be onto something.   I honestly believe that Sugar Free Hawaiian Punch is put my weight on hold also.   I am going to lay off of it for the next 2 weeks and see what happens.

They do taste like Snickers and I love them too.  I have them as a treat maybe once a week.  To answer your question...Yes ma'am too much sugar alcohol will stall your weight.  If you want your weight loss to be steady, I was told to limit your sugar substitutes to 2-3 packets per day, which is not a lot.  My suggestion would be to have one every two-three days to see if that will get your weight loss going again. Thank you sooo much. I will be working out like crazy and now limiting my sugar alcohols. I swear I thought that stuff was a free for all. LOL.

Are you exercising?
If you have one of those bars, then perhaps add some extra cardio.  That is what my  trainer tells me.
You may be at a plataue and may nee to up your cardio to jump start your weight loss again.
Keep your head up and don't get discouraged.

Thank you for the advice. I have started working out this pas weekend. I think I am going to take the Self Magazine challenge and workout six days a week for at least an hour. I am definitely working on becoming more active.

Being as early out as you are, you should be concentrating on protein, the veggies and then a little starches if you have room. IMO once a day is way too much, try cutting things such as that completly out.  Even with a good fill things such as that will always go down, it is what is called slider food, it will slide down even a restricted band.

I think a few of you thought that the Atkins bar was the only thing I've been eating everyday. I still meet my protein req. of 61 grams, and I do eat vegetables and fruits, but I feel that my weightloss has plateaued.
