Anyone have any ideas about an African American bandster grp? I recently had the realize band June 23, 09 and I just want to have a support grp.

Hello! Are you wanting to start a group online or an in person support group? AA bandsters are limited or maybe they lurk.

I already have an existing OH group called Weight & See and I would really like to see it become active online. It is open to surgeries of all type at this time. However, no one rarely posts on this board, so we can make it be an AA group or at least a place where we can all check in with each other. I'm not aware of a specific AA bandster group, but there are enough of us on BAF to offer some support. Welcome!!

Welcome to the board. If you have any questions, there are alot of banisters on BAF that give really great advice and support. Two that come to mind are Faith T and Laverne (her user name is Baby Lap-band, I think), they are very straight forward and honest, but not in a discouraging way... There are many other bandster, so I am sure you can get all the help and support you need on BAF. I hope you have a great weight loss journey...
