Proud to Be an AKA?
i don't know anything about this group or any monies going illegally to this BAM, but i can tell you this...
from the time i crossed the burning sands into the Lambda charter of the venerable Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc in 1985, until now, i have NEVER been ashamed to wear my colors, or to cry out a delighted SKEE-WEE in greeting to a fellow soror.
No matter what any individual does, it will never tarnish the illustrious 100 year reputation of the whole!
sweet dreams of pink and green...

What do I tell my daughter when she's ready to pledge? I am just smoothed out by the conduct of some of my fellow sorors. I received an email that urged me to spread "lies and falsehoods". I will be so happy when this is over with.Just a handful of crooked people has me ashamed to wear my colors with pride.
