Even pushing 5? something I still like thing to fit I've been in Old Navy they are yet younger than I wear.  But at the time I was in there the prices made me not even try them on. They look smaller than I usually wear and I was already depressed and didn't want to pick up a 12-14 and from most store I still can wear an 8-10.  There been time that I try on a sizean purchased then same thing and they where different in sizes.
When I go shopping I try on 3 different sizes, the size I'm wearing and one smaller and one larger into the dressing room.
you will never no until you try them on.

Girl that's why I will NOT purchase jeans from old navy i don't care how cheap. I went there had to get a size 12..WTF i don't think so. I'll stick with my Michael Kors $125 jeans and Ralph Lauren $90 from Macy's size 8's. I get them when there on sale don't get my wrong..lol I've only paid full price once becase i was so excited about that single digit number.

I truly was wondering if I spent the "money" on the jeans, would the fit be better.  I want to try on a pair of Cookies Jeans (Magic Johnson's wife) not sure what the actual name of her jeans are called but I do know they are about $165.00 and up.....  I'm going to have to get me a pair of those on Ebay....  LOL

I know what you mean, I refused even pre surgery to wear a size above what I "knew" I wore.  At old navy I have to go a size up if it doesn't have stretch.

Their jeans are not made for a lot of "our" body types. . . if you know what I mean. I mean, if I put them on backwards then they would fit perfectly! lol. But I don't understand why their jeans run so small, and the tops so big?????

Waittttttt does this mean I get an extra perk??????   I just bought Old Navy jeans in a 12R so are you saying that I can wear a smaller size?  I don't know if you know it or not but they do have different cuts (Sweetheart, Diva, Flirt and a few more that are like the size change in the "Right Fit"(yellow, red, blue from LB).  They have different "rise" (regular, mid, low)as well.  I don't normally wear jeans so it was worth it to find jeans for $19.  I say go to the website, find the rise and cut you may want and try again.
The question that I am asked most often:
 Is that your hair??????

Girl you are so right about the "different" styles. While I was in there last night, I as arguing with the display (looking crazy) because I was like "what the heck are ALL these different styles"..  And trust, they ALL do fit differently.  I am usually a Boot Cut girl because I don't like "fitted" jeans.  I am most definitely NOT going with skinny jeans.  Those jeans ain't for everybody.  Especially NOT my body...  LOL  But congratulations on the size 12R.  You are really working your tool.  Keep it up...

Everything in New York and Company is vanity sized.  Trying to psych women up to think they wear sizes smaller than their actual size.

Don't pay attention to size numbers because manufacturers, designers and individual stores all have their tricks when it comes to clothing size.  Back in the day sizes were pretty uniform...not anymore.
