OT - OLD Navy is a LIAR ......

It Is What It Is!!!

What the hell?

I went to Old Navy to do some school shopping for my daughter.  She's into the skinny jeans and they are having a sale. $20.00 for a pair of jeans....

So I have like, 20 pairs of jeans (it's a fetish I guess)....

I wanted the new "boy friend jeans" because they are suppose to fit you like a pair of men's jeans would -- which I love that fit)..

I got to the rack and there's a size 10.  Ok, so I am thinking, cool, that's my size anyway.....

WRONG!!!  I get to the dressing room and those jockers won't even go over my hips!!!  I'm like HELL NAW, I did NOT gain that much weight!!!  OK, I search for a 12 and I am like it's all good so I don't even try them on....

WRONG again!!!  I get home and try on my new pair of jeans that I just KNOW I can fit!!!!

What the hell?  NOPE!  Them jokers go on, and of course, every dern pair of jeans in OLD NAVY is low-rise!!  I said oh come on, this is not happening.  They fit, but I can't breathe, NOT to mention that damn muffin top!!!

Hell NAW, I refuse to buy a size 14 just because I need to breathe in a pair of OLD NAVY jeans..

Now the said thing is I have on a size 8 pair of capri's today from New York and Company and almost all of my jeans are a size 10, so what is going on?  Are clothes really that much different in all stores.  Can you possibly wear a range of 8 - 14??  OMG..  that is distressing for me....

I mean I KNOW I have not reached goal and I still want to lose another 30-40 pounds...  I am 5'9 and approx 189 (last time I weighed which was last Friday)....  I've been on the grind at the gym and got myself a personal trainer...

So tell me, is this just me?  Has anyone else experienced this trauma (yes ya'll it's a trauma to me) because they scale is NOT budging and neither are my clothes......  HELP...

I Won't Complain!  I've had good days, I've had bad days.  All of my good days out weigh my bad days, I WON'T COMPLAIN.....  Kimberleece

I stick to Liz Claiborne for now where I'm a vanity size 10.  I'd have to be well below goal to wear a size 10 at Old Navy.  Their sizes are closer to the now rarely used US standard size charts where you need a 26" waist to whear a size 12.

I'm with you!!! I like their stuff, but ALL their pants are LOW RISE!! I HATE those! Not built for them.

Honestly???  What is the point of the "Low-rise"  I mean *****ally wants their butt crack to show?  It is mad uncomfortable.  I can do the mid-rise which generally rall right at the hip bone BUT wearing a belt is a must for me, no matter what the "rise" of the jean...

Hey. You should try 'The Sweetheart' style of Old Navy jeans.  Those are the ones I wear (the only ones that ARENT low-rise). Those are normal rise, so they work well for those of us with hips and curves.  Of course, in skinny jeans (no matter what brand) you pretty much will ALWAYS have to buy a size up.  But I have the skinny jeans in The Sweetheart and I like them!  For $19, I cant complain too much..and if they get too big, I'll just alter them a little bit.
