A few select friends call me Dani (it was 2 Danielle's in school....I became Dani, and she DP)

My family calls me Big Sexy ( my ex started that, and I have it tattooed on my L breast)

My bf calls me sweetie ( he says I am the sweetest woman he has ever met)

My patients call me Sunshine or Smiley ( I am always happy go lucky)

My nickname is/was Puddin.  My mother (who claimed that she never did like nicknames) said that when I was born, I looked like a little bowl of chocolate pudding.  It did not help that one of her best friends called me "Putt Putt".  It just sort of stuck.  Some people call me Elaine (my middle name), Kimmie, Kimmiebear, or Klove.

Without struggle, there is no progress.

Hi All,
I'm new to this board, this question just caught my eye.  I never really had a nickname until I was in my twenties.  My name is so hard to pull a nickname out of.  My mom tried to call me Dani taken from my middle name (Danice- it's simillar to Denise but with a short "a"), but my dad wasn't having it.  One day on a girls' daytrip with my best friends, someone came up with the crazy idea of us having "guys" names as nicknames- but it had to be a derivative of your real name.  Again, hard name- my nutty friends started calling me Dre', and it's pretty much stuck.  My husband (at the time my boyfriend) shortly before he proposed, would leave me notes for whatever reason would always write "Hunee" to address me.  He, to this day (almost 17 years of marriage later) still calls me Hunee- when he bought my suv for my 40th birthday last year, he had a personalized license plate put on the front with a pink butterfly(favorite color) and it says Hunee.  I read one of the lady's nicknames is Mickey, my sister's name is Michelle and we call her Micki- I've never called her Michelle unless she's at work or in the hospital and I'm using her "real" name to see her- but never directly in conversation with her.
