Ayy yo,

Lemme ask you - Could you date an ugly person?  No not ugly in the sense that they are all fugged up on the inside but I'm talking train wreck ugly on the outside?  Case(s) in point - BAF Ladies, could you date, for example, a brotha that looked like Yaphet KottoBAF Homies, could you date, for example, a sista that had similar facial features as say ****ly Tyson playing Ms. Jane Pitman before she died in the movie?  Now don't tell me about, "back in the day, so and so was pretty..."  Nah.  I'm talking about this moment taking a picture holding up the front page of today's New York Times ugly.

Me personally, I like facial flaws.  Yessirr.  A blemish here.  A scar there.  A chipped beige tooth.  A lazy eye or two.  I don't give a fugg!  Those things just let me know that she's human and that she's obviously been in a fight or two back in the day over her countenance.  I know she will have my back if **** got thick up in here.

But I digress...

If this person loved you, respected you, treated you like a king or a queen when you're together, could you date them despite their looks and possibly fall in love with them?  Holla atcha boy.

A chipped beige tooth. LORL!!!

I personally couldn't date/fall in love with someone that I'm not attracted to.  You don't have to be 6'9, 250lbs (Morris Chestnut) fine,  but you can't be butt ugly either!

That's messed up, Yo.

But what if you were attracted to them but they just weren't attractive to others?  Like Young Jeezy said,
"Den what...?"

If I'm attracted to him that's all that matters.  I wouldn't be in a relationship with somebody because of what other people thought about him.

An observation - the sweeter somebody treats me, the better looking they become.

Everyone has their own preferences, what I find attractive the next person may not.  I've dated a Mexican, Vietnamese and my husband's parents are Nigerian....so I'm not partial.  I'm just not attracted to guys that are "hard to look at"....LOL

Before I met my husband, I was involved with someone who was just not at all physically attractive!!! AT ALL. Did I plan for it? Nope. HE drew me in, not what he looked like. I did fall quite hard for him.

I hear ya.  Don't let an ugly person give you any.  You'll be walking around like a dayum zombie lookin for dat azz like a heroin addict looks for his next fix.

I think people sometimes put way too much stock in looks.  He could be handsome as hell and turn out to have an abusive personality.  Not saying all pretty boys do but sometimes sistas will over look that for looks.  She could be fine as a frog hairs and be a stuck up ho.  People will often overlook that because of her looks.  Weird.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I learned a looonngggg time ago not to take stock in "traditional beauty". I look at the person's soul...if it's all good, then I'm hooked.
