Loosing to much weight , but Dr. thinks I am doing great.
I was not always a heavy person, I gained that weight over the past 10 to 12 years. I have always been askinny girl so my weight gain was what was new to me. I try not to snack and that not a problem 95% of the time I m on point with what I am supposed to do it just the few times when i get on the scale to see what's going on that has me concerned. It's so bad i have to shop in the childrens section and i can almost see my rib cage I have very little flabby skin I would take a updated picture but I am to afraid to really see what I look like.
How can they keep telling you that you are fine if the charts tells them that you are underweight? The drill the charts in our heads when we are obese and super obese so I'm not really understanding. I'm sure you are "fine" as in "will be alright" though. But from my observations, lots of people go to underweight and then a little later out they gain to a healthier size and maintain from there.
Unfortunately it's a very slippery slope you are on. I am also 5'5" and lost from 270 down to 125.
I felt I was to small and then stopped exercising, and started eating like a regular person (not in portions just in choices). Let me tell you the weight can come back on quickly. Before I knew it I was on a quest to drop 10 - 20 pounds again and it takes much longer to lose it than it does to gain it.
The main goal is to be HEALTHY. Try weight training to build muscle mass.
Make sure you are getting in all your vitamins and supplements. Do extra protien drinks and even Boost or Ensure. If you do not feel you are healthy and you are not getting the answers you want from your NUT or Doctor seek advice elsewhere.
Good Luck. Just don't slip back into bad habits. I know for sure bad habits are hard to break the 1st time and even harder to break the 2nd time around.
