V'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
I talked with my surgeon and asked his advice on the type of surgery tat I should have if you have a good relationship with your surgeon I suggest that youlet them know about your confusion on what type of surgery you should have after you do what the previous post said about looking at them both and what you are willing to do. Even though my surgeon suggested RNY because of the amount of weight I had to lose that may or may not work for you so again I suggest that you really talk to your surgeon.
I think its a personal decision that you should research and speak to ur doc with but ultimatley the decision is yours. I've seen people do very with the band and with RNY I've ssen people wish trhey had done the other for both surgeries. For me I knew I wanted no, needed the stick of dumping (and that heifah whupped my butt today) so that I could stay in line but the band is what got me thinking about the surgery initially.
good luck
