My BAF RANT: I guess people grow a pair because they can hide behind a computer?

& say & do things that they wouldn't dare do in person?  I remember a couple of ya'll in your responses to the girl from R&R asking why we have our own forum, bringing up that they come over here & start mess.  That one I didn't really have an issue with.

However, this new one takes the cake.  If you go &  read her posts prior  to her coming over here to ask us this asinine question, you will see that she really thought it was ok to do it, and we'd be fine with it..  I guess she's feeling pretty brave as I bet she wouldn't dare ask her "black" friends in person.    It just blows my mind.    I bet she probably thinks we all  got our WLS covered by medicaid & welfare and that we get our supplements on food stamps.

Look for "black opinions needed"  LeaAnn who posts in R&R came and posted this racist rap from a white boy & wants to know our opinion on it. But even worse is the comments that she posted in R&R about posting it here & that "we wouldnt care".

I never checked out the link.  I'm one of those black folks that doesn't really listen to much rap...GASP...I don't even get my panties in a bunch over stuff like this.  I got bigger things in life to stress about.  Personally I don't use the term '****** ***** Nicca', in everyday conversations with family or friends-white or black.  This is one of those topics that most will never agree on.  As long as no one is calling me a ****** I ain't losing sleep at night.

I never looked at the video myself, I went & read the original posts from the thead on R&R  that led up to her posting it over here & from the their posts, it was very obvious that it is offensive.   I'm the same way, don't use the word, nor do my friends. 



 I did post a response on that thread telling LeaAnn that basically her intentions posting over here were shady, which is obvious when you read her posts.    It ticked me off that she thought she can come to us any old way, with anything & we would accept it.    Her words" they will be ok with it on BAF (using the N word) because a rapper is saying it".  Who in real life would come & ask a black person who they feel about being called  a N*?  Unless they want a beat down.  It would have been different if in the discussion of the video a black person happened to have voiced their opinion on the topic. But, the context in which she presented it over here had racist overtones.

 

I wouldn't worry about it gigi. Nobody responded to that question because no one cares. So whatever her motive was it was not a success because she didn't get the attention she craved. File this under that ***** right there....and keep it moving.

I watched the video and read the responses. I was appalled by both. The video is humiliating I think to the black community. LeaAnn is a case of her own. I am not sure if she had good intentions or not but its still ridiculous. Most black people do not condone the use of the "N" word regardless of how it is said, its offensive point blank. I responded too cause I was shocked.

did you see her response to me?  She said that most black people wouldn't find it or the word offensive? So, when did she become our spokesperson?

I did and it was crazy. She cannot speak for ALL black people cause I find that word offensive and most of the people I associate with do too. She NEEDS to remember that she is NOT black and therefore can not talk for the everyone. Hell I  am black and still cant talk for the entire community cause I am only one person.
