OT - Stereotype Killa, Yo!
Ayy yo,
Stereotype or no, I simply hate tipping in restaurants but I do it... sometimes. To me the service just never seems to live up to the hype of justifying tipping, so whenever I can I try and avoid it. I've gone to great lengths to avoid tipping too and with even greater success. Once, when I was out with a few male colleagues for lunch, an outspoken guy (i.e. jack-azz) from our department boldly stated, "We should all chip in and pay for the lunch today and let 'Ayy' grab the tip since he doesn't eat much when we do go out together. But then on second thought that won't work..." Someone at the table asked him, "Why, won't it work?" His response, "Because blacks usually don't tip in restaurants!" The members of the round table nervously either half chuckled or looked the other way for lack of a better strategy. But I wasn't embarrased at all by that stereotype. Who me? Shiddd, not at all. Personally I felt like, "Finally, one of you sunz a'*****es got the dayum memo that I wrote."
So when the waiter came back to pick up the small pool of money and his binder, he asked if we needed any change back (by the way, that's restaurant code for, "Can I keep the change you lazy bastids who are too stupid to figure out that a 15% gratuity of $100 is atleast $15? Oh but wait why the fugg do I only see 5 twenty dollar bills here...") So I piped up and said, "Here's your tip... Don't eat yellow snow!" He quickly managed to suppress his wanton eye rolling as I smiled broadly and handed him an additional $20 much to the chagrin of my dumb-ass co-worker. Another stereotype crushed by Supa-Blackman.
Besides the traditional stereotypes like all black people eat chicken and watermelon or the ever popular bull**** - darker skin blacks are somehow tougher than lighter skinned blacks, while lighter skinned blacks are more pleasant and easy-going, what stereotypes are you aware of that some people still believe and put a lot of stock in? Is it true that things like women who dress more revealing and provocative are somehow ****tier than say a woman who dresses more conservatively? Let's display and kill a few stereotypes today shall we? Holla atcha boy.
I have one "Why is it that when you go to the doctor andyou have done reserch on whatever the nurse or doctor still talk to yolike you are in elementary school? Hell I have just as much knowledge if not more than the have. This just trips me out to the fullest especially the older white male doctors.
I'm i the dental field and I get this from patients all the time but I have to admit the doctor I works for back me up on everything and repeats everything I just told the dumb fuGGs!!!!!
Just ****** me off when they act like black are dumb.

Yea - I do hate that whole 'she thank she....' - I especially had a hard time with a dark skinned manager I worked for way back - that chick and me just used to bump heads HARD! I was actually more capable and smarter than her - that had her on defense mode all the time. Heffa made me stand in her face for 3 min cause I was leaving 3 min before the OFFICIAL end of what SHE considered my 'shift' - I was like BYTCH, I am an EXEMPT frickin employee!!!!!
And hell - i put in a LOT of work on myself - I EARNED my 'alladatness'....... LOL!!!

@ This is probably the reason I have always been attracted to dark skinned guys...
I must say that growing up as a dark-skinned dude, the perception was pretty clear that if you were darker then that meant that you couldn't be stuck up because you weren't pretty/handsome enough. Those two perceptions in tandem got translated into - "That black mofo think dey all dat, with their ugly black-azz..."
Yes we can be cruel to one another at times.
