I did right putting this up last night.  You folks were on it first thing.  Now that's commitment.

You'll be all over my @$$ for yesterday.  I'll start with the down right UGLY

I did just 25% of my workout yesterday.  No Mercy No Excuses
so I've got 75% to do today.  If I don't I'll have to humiliate myself and fess up tomorrow

On to the bad.  Things went fine until dinner when I realized I did not have a soft protein that was on the list other than canned stuff or eggs.  I had salmon and poached it to pass it off as a 'soft fish' per the instructions.  It was firm and flaky and fooling no one.

Now on to the just plain stupid.  I swallowed my gum.  Last week I saw the title of a thread warning against gum swallowing and thought what are we ten year olds?  What idiot swallows gum?  Me idiot thats what

I was not talking, drinking, or anything like that.  I was cooking my illegal fish when the gum hit the back of my throat and started to go down.  I could not work it out the rear of my mouth using my tounge/ throat muscles, fingers or gag reflex.  I'll never be a bulemic cause I could not make that happen either.

I have no clue what the solution is but I did not want it sitting in my pouch sticking to things.  I guzzled water till it hurt and tried again, nothing comes up.  Now its floating in the water so perhaps down is the only way out.

So I ate that illegal firm fish.  Twice as much as I wanted and drinking immediately after to force the gum out of my pouch.  Fish, followed by a glass of water then repeat.  So far so good.  Everything feeels normal.  (There should be a piece of gum stuck to the back of my @$$ by tomorrow.)

At last the good.  No other transgressions or idiocy to report except that despite the double order of dinner, calories were a little below my minimum of 800.

Calories 782/ protein 122 g/ carbs 21g/ fats 21 g
For the day I had one serving of tuna salad; 1 serving of jello; a three portion egg egbeater omlet with ff cream cheese; one protein shake; two servings of salmon; and one chicklet sized piece of gum.  ETA: Liquids 104 oz ,of which 56 oz was plain water.

Today is day four of the 5dpt for me.
Day 4: Firm Protein - ground meat (turkey, beef, chicken, lamb), shellfish, scallops, lobster, fresh salmon or halibut.

Surprisingly I've discovered that on this 5dpt my calories are averaging within 200 of what I normally eat.  I believe my suspicions are correct, and I should be eating more not less.  Starvation mode may be why I just can't seem to loose.  We will see once the results are in.  Any thoughts on this family?

Yes, starvation mode (not getting in enough calories)  will cause a stall in wl.  We both gotta do better today with the exercise!

Monday was a great day for me.  I completed day one of the 5 day pouch test.  I did not exercise, I'm on a Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday plan this week-plus I was busy running tons of errands.

I was suprised getting on the scale Tuesday morning.  I was down almost 5 lbs.  Unfortunately I know its not true weight loss since Sunday I had quite a bit of sodium intake and since Monday was all liquids it was all water.
