I shoulda known better...Lawd, I shoulda known!!!

Went out to dinner last night with a co-worker to one of the best Chinese/Hibachi restaurants...had garlic shrimp, veggies, salad, rice, noodles...of course, did not put a dent in the food, so I brought leftovers to work today.

Uh...huh - a sistah was HUNGRY...warmed up the food...ate a few bites of the garlic shrimp, rice...and UH-OH...all of a sudden, stomach got to acting up (I heard yelling from my stomach - "Child, what in da heyll is this **** you are feeding me?")...head started spinning...and I started calling out to my co-worker...I'm getting sick!!! It hit me so fast that I did NOT have time to get to the bathroom...needless to say, I had a FIERCE dumping episode...AT MY DESK!!!  I am SOOO embarassed...all I could do was apologize to her (fortunate the other officemates had stepped next door to get their lunches!).  She was such a sweetheart...but I am jacked up right now...I feel so empty...weak...and just ready to lay the hell down.

6 YEARS OUT...AND DUMPING...but, I shoulda known better - especially since I no longer eat this kind of food; I didn't have a problem last night - but today is an ENTIRELY different story!  And, just because you don't dump now...don't think you won't...Whew...now I need a nap!!!

Ouch.  Rough day for real.

I only had one episode, but I did not know it was a dump until I recently read a description of how a dump hapens.  I did not get sick, but I had to keep my head down between my knees for over half an hour.  I had repeated waves on nausea and dizziness.   I was on the boardwalk in Atlantic City at the time feeling like a fool.

Yes, indeed...and beware - I was never a "dumper" of foods...until this year!  So, just because I am considered a "vet" - I know that this pouch DOES still work!

Thanks for sharing your story.  This is what I fear the most.  I haven't experienced yet and based on what I've read and heard I hope I never experience it.  Hope you are feeling better.

Pre op I could eat half a pound of bacon.  Love the stuff.  It was six slices followed by a sip of water too soon that did me in.  Don't want that extra bacon anymore so my rny is working.    Always respect the pouch.

Thanks Ms DD for this badly needed reminder.  I'm going to put these high fat pork skins I've been eating away now.

Holy garbage can, Batman...that was HORRIBLE for me...and from now on...I'll stick to what I know and leave the leftovers for someone else to eat! I'm DONE!
