Its toning without size vs building larger muscles.

Body sculpt uses mostly dumb bells and is designed to give definition to your muscles as well as build muscles.  Weight is light to relatively light.  I use the book The Body Sculpting Bible for Women which has progressive 14 day programs.

Muscle building uses heavier weight be it with machines, resistance bands, or barbells.  It is designed to pump you up by building bigger muscles.  I use resistance bands with their pound equivelant identified so I know the weight I'm using.

Ahhhh gotcha! Thanks for the explanation. I had heard about lighter weights, more reps vs heavy weights, less reps. I need to up my weight lifting. I've been focused on cardio for too long. My goal this month will be weight training at least 3 days a week. I'll prob do whole body 3xs a week instead of breaking it up for more days.

Check out The Body Sculpting Bible for Women at any major bookstore.  Comes with a DVD too and requires just a pair of dumbells to get started.

Its six days a week but it is super easy and does not take long to do.  Also, it is flexible when it comes to the amount of weight you use and if you are a beginner or more experienced.  You will see results quickly in muscle tone and definition.
