When I take my braids out I'm getting a weave but....

That's what everyone is going to say about me too lol. For me personally its to be able to rock styles without a long term committment...I really want a long straight weave with straight bangs...but wouldn't dare want to get my own hair permed and cut and be stuck with it for months while it grows out and I don't like it or grow tired of it.

Can't you just wear your hair under a weave without getting it cut off?  Or would that make it look bumpy?

Ok girl, with all the questions you've helped me with i'm glad i can finally help you LOL. Since weave is my addiction i'm compelled to share my knowledge. I call it getting my beyonce on LOL. The best way to preserve your natural hair is having a sew in. The quick weave will damage your hair. Stick with sew in. There are different textures where you can curl and not curl. The best labels to get that won't really break your pocket are Remi, Platinum, Yuri, and there is several more but the deep wave or semi wave you can use moose on it and it curls and you go. They cost from $50-$150 depending on where you go. There is one place in our area, let me know if you need the number. I also love the lace front which is what the stars mostly have but there mega expensive at 600+ dollars but they look so good. Good luck and go get sassy girl.

By the way, if you sweat the sew in is definitly the best to go. That glue can be a mess. I gained so many inches with me sew in it's beautiful but i'm addicted to my weave. A sew in waved hair is less maintance, corporate friendly and last longer.

I had to help you out on this one!! I am queen of the SEW IN!! I love them because they are versatile, low maintenance, and I can keep them in when I go to the gym.  Where I am, it runs me about $200, and I use Indian Remy hair which is a lil costly, but it makes a HUGE difference in the way that the hair looks.  My hair generally lasts anywhere from 2.5-3 months, with regular wash/condition maintenances.  Look at some of my pics and see the styles.  Even with going to the gym a few times a week, it doesn't mess my hair up.  After a few months, I take the braids down and let my scalp breathe and get a deep scalp treatment and leave my hair natural for about a week.  I just took it down about 2 weeks ago and on Thursday I'm going to get a Body Wave put in.
Hope this helps!

Hi ATL Diva,

Goto YOUTUBE and type in Natural Hair and their are tons of tutorials on what to do with natural hair, weave hair, sew ins, etc.  Also, what products to use and the like.  I'm definitely it a youtuber since becoming natural again.  I'm so going to go all the way through with this.  My natual hair has a very pretty curl and I'm loving it while it's short.  I throw some Dove Hair Mousse on it and rake it back... let it dry and baby you couldn't count the curls or would drown getting caught up in the waves.  I absolutely love it!  Check it out over there.  A few of my favs are RusticBeauty, Prettydimples and a few others.
