OT: Tickets for Homeless in NYC

Ok just heard again about  NYC sending homeless peeps away on a one way trip to..... Some say parts of Florida as a stop. Whats your thoughts on this?  IMHO, I have not heard any solutions to the REAL problem.  Maybe if they turn off some of those lights, just as an a example, money could be generated to helps the people

There is no specific destination.  They have to have a relative or someone who agrees to take them in.  They then get a one way ticket to that location. 

What about those who do not have a relative?  Thanks for your information

then unfortunately they stay homeless.  The condition of the ticket is a place to go.

How are you today? I think that it can't hurt anything. They have a program similar to this in other states and also one similar for missing children. The goal is to get them back home ...as stated earlier, if in fact they have a home to go.  Some may be sent back to a particular state and if I read it right to a particular country.

I personally don't mind it....because it MIGHT  reunite a family or two. On the other hand, I think you are right...more need to be done to bring the people out of the cold in the winter and also to prevent them from being a public nuisance. 

LOL @   Maybe if they turn off some of those lights.  Gurl....that's why people go to NYC to see the bright lights in the big "sit-tae".
