Any BAF DS or VSGers?

 I am teetering back and forth between these 2 surgeries and I wanted to know if there are any BAF ladies that have had either of these and can offer some insight.

Hi, I had my DS about 3 weeks ago.  StarJones and Tiffany G also have the DS.  I know Yess (Que) has a sleeve and I think she is going in to get the switch added, but dont hold me to that.  I dont post on BAF regularly, so feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

ditto-ing nicci and adding that it sounds fiendish  when i start talking bout the sleeve so feel free to send me a pm.   also, don't know how many of em are baf ladies per se but there are separate sleeve and ds boards it might help you to check out.   good luck. 

Heeey ME ME!! Ditto-ing Nicci and Marlo lol. I had my DS almost 9 months ago and doing fabuously with it. I researched the VSG a lot before switching to the DS. Two websites with lots of DS info are www.dsfacts.com and www.duodenalswitch.com. Both of the surgeries have thier pros and cons.... I would examine my diet, what kind of eating I could live with, BMI, and any comorbidities to decide between the two. Good luck with whichever surgery you choose and feel free to ask me anything.

VSG here! I am a slow loser... I have a slow metabolism and took some meds post op that impacted my timeline.  I'm getting there slowly but surely.  My doctor and NUT says that I'm still on track so it's all good. 

Both surgeries are good.  I just didn't want to deal with malabsorption because I'm not good at taking pills all the time.
