How do I get rid of the FOAM?

Good Morning and Happy Monday BAF!

I have a question about the protein drinks that I'm using --

Nectar's  Roadside Lemonade with Strawberry Crystal Light
Nectar's Ice Tea with Lemonade Crystal Light
Isopure's Alpine Punch

Over the weekend I pulled out the blender instead of just mixing them in a shaker cup because I thought it would mix better (less grit) and avoid the separation of the powder and water that happens once you let it set for a while.  It did blend better overall but I ended up with all FOAM. So I put it in the fridge and came back to it later and most of the the foam did melt but I was just wondering if there is some magic solution someone has come up with to avoid the foam.

 Hey Namesake!

Maybe it has to do with the amount of ice used when blending or the type of protein.  Try adjusting the amount of ice...more or less.

I don't like the foam either.  I use about 3 cubes of ice and still get some foam, but after it sits for a minute, most of it goes away.

(((((((((((Hey Kim))))))))))))

I wasn't using any ice, jus****er.

Will ice decrease the amount of foam I get?  It does eventually go away but I would need to make sure I mix them in advance because I can't stand the foam immediately after blending.

Try using an immersion blender.  They don't pull a lot of air into your food.

Hey mskim,
that drove me crazy at first.  Try letting it sit in the fridge after blending for about 20 mins.  it will settle with only a little foam at the top.  Just stir with a spoon after.

whatz up Kim.........

The best way to handle the Nectar protein is in a shacker.... Buy one with the wisk ball that goes in it..... It really does work and they sell them at the vitam Shop...... I use Nectar too...
