New Post-op Tip of The Week

Today's tip is about the amount of food we should eat. When you are really new, you should measure and weigh everything because your pouch is healing and the nerve endings can't feel when you are full. After a few months you will get the full sensations and let me tell you, if you take one bite past that full feeling, you will be very uncomfortable. You will feel like you might pop, vomit, have what we lovingly call "bubble guts" (you will know what it is when you get it) and feel just plain ol' miserable. We have to implement the tool we have now. People think that we took the easy way out but that is so not true because we still have to have self-discipline and not take that 1 bite just to clean the plate or eat that cheesecake because it's calling my name. I will say that a product called Papaya Enzyme is very beneficial when you have that bloated, food that is stuck and undigested feeling. You can get it at any drugstore or Walmart or vitamin store. Listen to the pouch.
