Rest In Peace my Beloved E.Lynn Harris

I am not sure if I am late if anyone has posted this on here already, but today we have lost a true star. E.Lynn Harris. He is my idol and the only author that I own every single one of his books. Reading his books got me through my surgery and my recovery period. I have chatted with him through emails and on facebook and he is a fantastic person. I truly saddens me that we have lost such a fabulous person and a great influence in this world. My heart feels heavy and I just feel like I am losing another part of me. His books have helped me through so many things in my life. He has his last book coming out in Oct 2009, called Mama Dearest and I am sure it is fabulous just like all the others. For those who aren't familiar with his stories this would be a great time to become familiar with them, and no matter what type of box he public tries to put him in, like "gay author and blah blah blah" his stories are for everyone and they are a delight to read. May God bless him and give him that rest and peace that he worked so hard for and truly deserves.

Wow, it's so sad. I have read all of his book -- Basketball Jones was really good, and now that's the end of Basil Henderson.

RIP E. Lynn

Rest in peace E. Lynn Harris.  I really loved his work.  You can really relate to his characters.  I met him once in Flint Michigan at a book signing.  I will never forget him.

Puggsie,
Thank you for the update, I had not heard or read anything about this great lose. I have not read all of his books but I have read several, and I just think Basil Henderson was truely the sexiest man I have ever read about. This is truly a great author we are going to miss...
