HOW MANY?
I had the same problem when I first got back on track, but since found what works for me.
I realized that if I eat food for breakfast, I'll nibble and eat all day long, always feeling hungry.
It turns out that if I have a protein "Frappuccino", made at home, with healthy ingredients, I'm not hungry again until 1 or 2 in the afternoon. Hubby has them too (we both gave up hot coffee in the spring for this). I've tweaked the recipe to where is is so good, it beats the coffee shop's unhealthy version!
Since mid-April Hubby has lost 22 pounds and is back at his high school weight (with his fine, muscular self
) at age 42. I've dropped 14 pounds in the same time.
I also make myself stop & drink a glass of water and wait 30 minutes when I get hungry, if it's not meal time. I only thought I was hungry; turns out I was thirsty & it masked as hunger.
Make some tweaks week by week & find out what works for you.

Thanks Pommom, and congratulations for the 14 pound loss! I noticed just yesterday morning after having a Isopure protein shake I didn't get hungry as fast. I guess I have to watch which protein I'm having as well. I know that eggs, tuna salad, chicken salad, fish, chicken and string cheese keep me full and satisfied the longest. I was wondering do you think Coffee has something to do with being hungry more often?
I know that I crave coffee with SF French Vanilla cream and sugar substitute throughout the day.
