I Dont Understand

My two months prior to surgery I spent countless hours on this site viewing profiles and asking questions and sending b4 and after pictures (lol) to friends and co workers...Seeing what people have accomplished and their struggles basicalled impacted the decision that I made to have surgery...I must admit that I do not participate in the forums as much (Mostly due to work) but I update my pictures and profiles thoroughly so that any individual researching and investigating can get a better understanding of what I have been through.

Why do people leave...so many people who have surgery around the same time as I did, before and after, just disappeared and never update their profiles or their progress...I will not name people but I hate it...It is not about comparing eachother but more along the lines of seeing how far people have come...I have accomplished a great deal with this surgery and have ways to go but still til this day reading others profiles and stories motivate me.

FYI: People seem to come back when they are having a stall, weight gain and/or issues...Again not judging anyone but just want to know what is going on?

I am having a terrible, horrible, very bad day at work....... so I will need this thread to lighten my day - can't WAIT to see what color the walls gon be......

I agree with you Isa that so many disappear and reappear when help is needed.  I wish that people would hang around too.  However, everyone is different and I suppose it is their prerogative.  BTW, congrats on your success.

Hello how are you? . you have done a great job girl. I dont post as often as I once did but I check on everyday   ..and I always answer my mail on questions that people ask me cause I need to continue to support others and receive support . I cant answer for others but only for my self take care and stay blessed.

My opinion is people will always be people......

Just like in everyday life you have the ride to die friends who are there whenever you need them 24-7, and then you have friends who come by when they need something.

I may not post everyday but I have been around faithfully for 7+ years.  I can name several who only come by to show off their accomplishments but are never around to offer support or chime in to say hello.

Not calling myself a WLS poster child as stated below however, I think coming to this site on a daily basis has helped me to become somewhat sucessful in my WLS journey.

I will NEVER, understand how people become so busy in their everyday life to forget where their support originated from.  I must also include the only reason I stay on this board during my work hours is because facebook is blocked from my job .

edited to add It is sometimes considered as to WHO POST that will bring people out of lurk mode.
