OT: Ring tones and Voicemail messages

I think I am getting old.

Why o why doesn't the phone just ring and folk just say you reached such-n-such, I ain't here, leave a message????  What is really driving the need for creativity in THIS meduim?  I say bring back FINE ARTS!!!!!

LOL - naw, really - what does YOUR voicemail say and do you have a ring back tone - you know, one that callers here while they wait for your creative azz to pick up the dang phone?

*I* do not have a ring back  tone.  Dang things cost too much - but I do have ringtones of songs coded for callers - depending on my mood. but that's where i cut the line.  Besides - it's funny as heyl to be out and about and see some ole pink lady phone ring and it's playing 'bootylicious' or 'pimp juice' or some crazy ish like that.

My Hubby's mring tone is "Baby you're my everything" by Drake... (that is my groove of the moment) 
nixed the ring back tones... got tired of changing them and extra tired of ninjas leaving me messages with requests for new songs (like they got 5 on my verizon bill)

See - that coding the ringtone to how you feeling bout a mofo could get you cut..... I 'member when my dude at the time accidentally called my phone while we was out together (dang keypad lock malfunctions) and he got to hear "Shake it off" by Mariah Carey......   LOL!!!!

Oh how I agree with you this!!!   What is this all about?!?!  I admit, I'm outta the loop when it comes to the ring tone thing.  My phone....rings.   My voicemail....speaks.  Plus, my phones are business phones as well, so I CAN'T put some stupid jackassary on my voicemail message and one of my clients call and think that I am not a professional and I'm running my business like a lemonaid stand.  I can't afford to lose business,  not in today's economy!  Gotta keep it tight gurl!

Girl  YES - I was doing pre-screens a while back, looked at a TIGHT resume, picked up the phone to call the candidate - had to listen to Rick James' 'Mary Jane'....... we have a drug test so I just hung up - figured I would save myself the time....... LOL!!!

Okay?!?!  These people trip me out Trina!  Ain't nobody safe out here.   A job harder to find than the secret city of Atlantis and Elvis living and doing Jenny Craig put together and people putting some crazy nonsense on their voicemails.  I'm like....WTH?? 

or my other favorite is when the bruhs put Tupac on - thinkin they being all deep with the Mackavelli cut.....

i got a friend who changes her ringback tone all the time to match her mood - she has some John Meyer 'Gravity' on there now - song so damn slow, I was driving when I called her, heard that mess and slowed down 10mph!!!!  LMAOOOO
