Imma put em on blast!!!
O****assionally I go on the failed surgery forum to be nosy, give support and learn what to avoid. I was reading the one that says, "I'm worried," and it was about a girl who is not doing well and gaining weight after lap band. This is what someone wrote in response to her. . .
Honestly, i might say things that may be the wrong thing to say on these boards....but i will anyway. DO NOT let anything allow you gain that weight back! You have come so far to go back now. If you have to, take diet pills and drink energy drinks all day. I know it does not sound very reasonable to most people but neither does being fat. Hopefully you can get some help with the Dr. thing...did he go somewhere else? Call the medical review board to find out. Throw a fit in the office where the careless nurses work....dont give in.
If your are eating less maybe your not consuming enough calories. Drinking lots of water and exercise. I know you have heard all this before, but just dont let it come back! Fight with all that you are. Good luck Ma!
WTF??!!! Is anyone else appaled by this or is it just me??? Diet pills and energy drinks???? Yes I put this chick on blast because I just could not believe it.

I think it is just YOU!!!
What is appalling about taking diet pills and drinking energy drinks??
I am 7 years post-op and time to time I take doctor prescribe diet pills to keep me on track. There are low cab energy drinks out there so not all of them are bad.
I try not to say anything when I see someone post xxx pounds gone forever because if your not making healthy eating choices for the rest of your life, guess what... the pounds will slowwwwwly creep back.
For me the first couple of years was easy because no matter what I did the weight came off with little or no effort. Wait until you reach that 3 year or more mark and your appetite come back with a vengeance you will be surfing the Internet trying to find ways to lose the weight you may/may not gain.
For me to maintain my weight I HAVE to exercise and watch my food choices, there are some who is five years post-op or more and NEVER exercise and is able to maintain their weight.
I am not a WLS poster child however, I am jus sayin you have to do what works for YOU.

What works for me won't work for everybody.
I'm almost 5 years out and I don't exercise.

I have to watch my food intake like a hawk though, or I'd blow up like a balloon. I also weigh every day. It's so much EASIER to regain the farther out you get.
I am a newbie but I think that I would be careful about suggesting diet pills or any other kind of medication to anyone because I wouldn't want someone to take something on my suggestion and have a negative reaction to it. Especially diet pills because there is so much negative information out there about it. Not saying anyone who chooses that route is wrong but I think the better advice is to seek the advice of your doctor or nut first.
