............what do you use on them to keep them smooth. My sons are getting puffy and frizzy. I do his new growth with loc gel, but know I need to palm roll the rest with something to keep them neat. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.

setting lotion ....I use the brand lottabody to set my new growth ......my locs are mature so I dont really have the fuzzy problem ......but I would try use a diluted mix of the setting lotion on his loc when you palm roll his hair.......also I do peoples locs all the time and I always set the locs right after the hair has been washed .....for newly loced hair I use the small metal duckbill clips at the scalp and loc ends after rolling and let the hair dry that way.......newly loc'd clients I have them sleep in a head scarf until thier locs mature a little.....hope that helps ma

I use clips when I do his new growth, I just haven't been palm rolling the old hair. His locs are about 6-7 inches long now. He's been locing since last summer. Almost a year. Thanks for the advice. I'll try setting lotion.

Hugga,
What happened to your post? I think I will try Jam on my son's hair because it is so frizzy. Thanks for the advice.
