Please check your cell phone bills carefully

Just a friendly public service announcement. I recently upgraded my phone.  Well because I am paying much more since I now have subscribed to the full internet service, messaging and unlimited calls, I am checking my bills more carefully. So this mean that I should have no extra charges for overtime usage or anything else for that matter. Well I was checking my billing statement and noticed 2 messaging charges for $9.99.  WTH! I did not order anything or make any messages that would cost that much.  Well....I was talking to the customer service rep...and now know exactly how it happened.  I had taken a few quizzes on facebook.  I recall needing to enter my cell number to get the results. Well apparently...I missed the fine print and actually unknowingly and gullibly subscribed to a few whacked out services.  Well...lucky for me the rep went back and found 3 other similar charges and credited me nearly $50. She also put a block on these companies.

Please don't make the same mistake I made...and if you haven't been...monitor your bill closely.  Time are too rough to be having money go up in smoke on bull*hit!  Peace. Hope u all have a good day.

Yep, they got me too.  Luckily I ALWAYS check all my bills...I work too dayum hard to just GIVE my money away! LOL

I also got them to credit my account and took it a step further and deleted my cell # from fb so they couldn't do that mess again.  The rep I talked to said that is a VERY common practice and most people don't even notice it.  WTF....I notice .01cents extra on my bills!  LOL

You know whats jacked up.....they are making big bucks off of people who do not check their bills. That really ticks me off...lazy good for nothings....just taking advantage of people...I bet they get the old folks all the time....then again...not too many old folks going to be taking quizzes on Facebook ....lol! but as MM says...they have other ways. Take it ez.

Yep they got me too but my service provider took the charges off. Thanks for the reminder.

No problem! I hope that all folks go back and check their bills and check in here with the results if they are able to recover some money. Let us tally up the results! I can't stand them dayum bandits!

Already had that mess happen to me - that's why I am VERY guarded about the information I enter ANYWHERE - folks got a million and one ways to jack your paper!!!
