Question for the parents
Girl, I have to give you the comedy side to this, them jokers and yes, I say them jokers (with love). My daughter, who is now 16, was such a difficult delivery that I was HIGH AS KITE! So unfortunately, I can't describe the way I felt when she first came out, BUT my goodness, NOW, I just want to send her back.... LMBO.. Also, I was married at the time and my then "crack-head husband" was almost missing in action... Yep, I think he was coming down off his high at the time... And had the nerve to bring his mother to the hospital, while I am laying up there pushing -- all my business hanging out!!!! UGH!! I was heated. But I did NOT transfer any of those bad feelings then or now to the love of my child.
My son, who is 9 years old, almost killed me! YEP, BP shot up at the end and I was almost a goner. Good thing I had a good OB and my baby daddy was a trooper. So when I first saw his "yellow" face, I was like, why is he so light? Then I said, "what a beautiful joy".... He was just my blessing to me, simply my blessing.....
Almost 10 years later, he is getting on my LAST NERVE!!! Think he's my father and my husband!!!
Either way, enjoy your pregancy and enjoy the thrill of getting to know your first born. Everyone's experience is different.
I will say, that I do know from experience, certain situations at certain times, may or may not change the way you feel about your kids. NOT saying it's right, but it does happen. But we need to realize that these children did NOT ask to come into this world and have to deal with all of OUR drama!!! Feel me?
Kids are a gift from God, whether we ask for them or not. How we bring them up and treat them, is totally on us....
God Bless

Hey Trina
I'll give you a little hee-hee. Your baby is swimming around in amniotic fluid. Taken from Wikipedia:
After a further 10 weeks the liquid contains proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and phospholipids, urea and electrolytes, all of which aid in the growth of the fetus. In the late stages of gestation much of the amniotic fluid consists of fetal urine.
I was like: Oh no, I will not kiss him when he comes out
. They will have to clean and fully sanitize him before I would touch him.
My pregnancy was very difficult and he decided to come early. Lots of complications and such but I tell you, when the pulled him out (c-sect) and I heard him cry, I was literally HOWLING with joy. After they checked him out and brought him over to me I was STILL HOWLING. I kissed that pissy baby of mine over and over again.
My baby is seven now and I still feel that way about him. Remember Women of Brewster's place and how Oprah's bootleg son left her high and dry and she lost her home? Well, she still held out hope that he would come back so that they could be a family again.
Okay, I'm done...***looking for tissues cause now my heart if feeling full***

I was 7.5 months preggo when I found out I was preggo - so I had babygirl 9 weeks and 1 day after the first "You're pregnant" confirmation from the doctor - so I ain't have that much time to 'wrap' my head around the whole Mommy thing.
I went into labor earlier than my due date - late at night and I didn't have her until the afternoon the next day - so no food that whole time.......
After she came out, they showed her to me, I checked her fangas and toes - 10 and 10, cool - then they wheeled her out to the nursery and my first thought was...........
CAN SOMEBODY GO GET ME A SAMMICH CAUSE I AM HONGRAY THAN A MOFO!!!!!!
...... oh yea, and when they bringing the rugrat back in the room???

curious, if you don't mind my asking - are you going to have drugs or are you doing natural delivery?
