I guess we first have to define Romance or Romantic for this one -

It's that whole wine and dine, speak sweet nothings, 'you're my world and let me show you how I appreciate your existence' type action, speech and treatment.

Is it me or is it gone or DEAD these days w/dating? I mean, I ain't expecting dude to put his jacked on a water puddle, but can you NOT text me 'can I hit it tonight?' LOL!!!!

And fellas - is it really unreasonable for a woman to expect 'grand sweeping' gestures of affection, interest and love?

Maybe *I* am the one trippin - so let's speak on it!

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions! I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

Dayyyummm my boyfriend ( we live together) Just sent me that text,,,,Now I feel cheap..lol. I dont think the wining and dining is too much to ask for..I just finish the Steve Harvey book..lol. We are investments. A knee grow if interested knows he has to do that somewhat.

I guess I expect different things from different dudes. My husband now is romantic (opens all doors, flowers, surprise presents, nice notes), so if he ever stopped I would be wondering WTH happened. I've had bigger gestures like when this one dude picked me up from work with a suitcase of new clothes packed and we flew to the Carribbean for a long weekend. That was really nice. Now some dudes just show it in a different way. I had this one dude that was a total thug, not real romantic per se. But sometimes the lil things would be enough. I still remember him being on the phone with his boy and he was tryin to get my man to go out with them and he simply said.....nah, Imma chill with my lady tonight. It might seem small but I still remember it cause it made me smile and feel special. That was romantic enough for me at the time.

Too many of these numb skulls out here believe sexing you up is romance. Don't even think my name if you are not willing to wine me and dine me and court my favor.

The romantics are still here, but they are a ***** to smoke out. Still, I refuse to settle for anything less.

If it's not dead....it's wounded badly, bleeding, wimpering and limping to it's death! I agree, the whole texting "you some sweetness" just doesn't do it for me. I need champagne, candle light, soft music and a strong, good smelling man!
