Hey Fam!

I made it back from a much needed vacation. It was definitely an adventure for my girls and I. We went to Savannah, Georgia to visit my best friend and my God daughter. We also ended up taking an unplanned excursion to Charlotte, NC when we found out that the girl's aunt (whom they haven't seen in over 2 years) would be there.  Wow...I was reminded immediately of one of the reasons I left the south.  Its too damn HOT down there. Had to keep some water near us to beat the heat!

THE GOOD:  The girls really enjoyed going to the water park and river front....again...anything to stay cool.  As for me, I am not going to lie....the FOOD was on point! Southern Cooking is my weakness. I got my hands on some BANGING BBQ and we found this place that makes 40 different kinds of fresh milk shakes. I did indulge...on more than one occasion!  Unfortunately for me, the good did spill over into the BAD!!!

THE BAD: I got on the scale this morning. Ouch! I gained 5 pounds! I am sure some of it is water but I know that I messed up big time down there. Did not do any real exercise the whole time and I was snacking on all kinds of stuff like crazy. Definitely need to get back on track....it starts TODAY!

THE UGLY: OMG! My friend took me on this Casino Riverboat cruise. This was the most horrible experience! Lawd have mercy....I was about ready to jump the fuggin ship and swim back to shore.  First, when we got on the boat...they served us dinner.  Everyone piled into the dining area (Definitely not enough room for ALL these people)..made me feel like we were all pigs being fattened up for the slaughter (at the machine! give us food...take our damn money). You could tell that they were very well practiced in slopping the hogs as everyone moved through the processional to eat. I probably would have been pissed off by this point..but I must admit the food was really good....lol!

So then we go down to the casino area.  I sit at a slot machine...and throw a few coins in it.  The machine DOES NOT WORK. I am hearing the coins go in...but no action.  I examine the machine and lo and behold...the coins have fell straight through the machine and landed by feet! What the fugg! So ...yes...being a compulsive person...I did not take this as a RED FLAG! I moved to another part of the ship...and played a few different machines.  These machine did work...and worked very well I might add....they took my DAMN money!..This of course is what they were designed to do. NO the money did not fall down by my feet....but I swear..when I was almost down a benny...I could have swore I hear my money falling through the SHIP and into the fuggin water! Splish Splash...down the drain. Did not make any damn sense.  See this is why my ass should not gamble!

Want to know what made the experience a living hell?....well everyone was gambling and getting their drink on for a few hours...when suddenly something happened! People started to realize that their arses was on a freakin RIVERBOAT that was swaying back and forth!. Folks started to throw up all over the place! Folks were laid out ...from the motion sickness.,,,the whole ship reeked of vomit..... I actually did not drink anything but it did not matter because It was ALL too close for comfort..as I experienced the drunken stupors subliminally....I had to go huddle in a corner until the nightmare was over....when we finally made it to shore....there was nearly a stampede as folks tried to get the hell off that boat!

MORE GOOD:  I simply loved Charlotte, NC! Would definitely go again. Visited the Botanical Gardens there and spent quite a bit of time downtown.  A neat little city!

Well Ya'll I am happy to be back! I missed you all. Hope everyone has been doing well.  Happy Friday!

Since you mentionned Vacation:

I just got back from Florida about a week ago. Here is the ugly, we took my mother in law and father in law with us . My mother in law is scared to ride in cars so an 22 hour trip was deffinately an handful. She prayed for lights, read every sign on the road, pissed about 20 times and did I mention pray for 21 hours and 40 minutes straight going.

We had left Florida dropped her and my father in law to Savannah then we drove to south Carolina to where my family was and my husband dropped us off(me n the 2 boys) Then we stayed there for a few days and me and my cousins went into Charleston for the day.. I had a bawl to a much needed reilief from my mother in law. We went to eat at a place called the Noisy Oyster in Charleston walked down to where all of the boats come in. Then we ended up at a bar called Wet Willies. I had a frozen drink call call-a-cab.. That chit had me torn down and I only drank about a 1/4 of it.

The dreaded day then my husband and the monster-in-law came back to get me. My monster-in-law prayed for 12 hours straight, she prayed for lights, on the highway, cars not to be beside us and for tractor and trailers to not come by us. It started to rain while I was driving and she tried to climb out of the car over my husband and kids. Once again, she read every sign on the higway and kept trying to tell me that I was going the wrong way. Keep in mind we just bought a 09 Denali and it is loaded, the GPS would have kept us from getting lost. We tried to turn on a DVD for her and that didn't work.  So she prayed so if anyone is in need of prayer I wil send my monster-in-law to pray for ya! Right now I know that I am prayed up for the next 20 years!

NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!! THIS WAS THE LAST TIME I WILL TRAVEL WITH HER TO ANYWHERE BUT TO THE KITCHEN!!!

Hey MM! How goes it? Strutting your new bod yet? Yes...we had a great time.  Charlotte seems like one of those places that I encounter in my travels that makes me think.."Hey I could definitely live here." Then I have to reign myself in because back in the day...there was a time when I would move every year...into a new apt. I would get bored so easily with my surroundings. I think I definitely have one move left in me...but I want to make it very carefully...for the right reasons. I have to remember that in most cases it would be a different place but the same old shiot! lol. Feels good to be back.
