I dont post often, but I gotta share this with yall.
Im one of the 15 million people ticked out with their "employment status". Grateful to have a job, but no where near content or satisfied. I went to a staff meeting this morning, and some things have become evident to me.
Why
1.When I walk into the staff room, does the conversation jump to sports, or athletics?
2.Does this white man seem to talk condescending to all long standing employees, but act like new employees(that he has handpicked, of course) are the only ones that can think?
3.Am I the only person that thinks "there has GOT to be more to life, than this?"
Im getting old too folks. My wife says Im in midlife crisis. Im 40-- do other people out there my age think like this--
Does rap music get on your nerves now?? I mean,, I heard "Youre a Jerk" this morning, and bout tore the knob off changing that shyt!!!
What happened to Whodini, and Doug E. Fresh, and Eric B and Rakim? this shyt nowadays makes me sick. I know what White folks mean now,, shyt.
Why they say Michael Jackson wasnt important--but we had to watch Ronald Reagans DEAD AZZ go ON TOUR--when he died??
Why dont Tyler Perry just admit he gay, and get it over with?? We allready know,, dayumm.
For the men out there--
Why was "Akeelah(dont know her real name) the finest thing at the BET awards? Yall dont trip,, I know yall saw her too.
Why Beyonce think she gotta be a Goddess now--did she FORGET how to bounce her ass?
Why niccas with money, still act stupid?? Cant they just sit they azz DOWN?
Why black men so easy accept mediocrity--in their careers, families, and why women continue to "aint bout shyt niccas"?
Why black men STILL pledgin anything other than Omega Psi Phi? I guess, ignorance is bliss.

OMG - I really, really miss my days of playing cello and would give $100 to the first ninja in the club that could hum Pachelbel's "Canon" to me.....

I dont know bout your neighborhood,, but here, we have a PACK of young ladies pregnant by the same ole cool, dope dealing, rimmed out, chain wearing. 30 year old "local club legend" brothers here. And they aint bout shyt.
The young brothers here, with daddy in the house(setting rules) and momma that makes sure they have more than the newest Jordan's, that go to school EVERYDAY, in church Sunday morning, exploring other things along with sports and rap videos,,, are considered SUCKAS!

Naw - ain't my hood. BUT - there is a lot of thinking that high school is the END of education - ya dig? The lil hoodrats my daughter has been in daycare with tease her and call her 'whitey' for speaking properly and being light skinned. i put my foot down - that had to stop.
I found a charter school and after school care program run by a PROFESSIONAL black woman - babygirl starts there next month. *I* know better than anyone what an education can do for you - With a degree - the sky's the limit...... without one, the limit's the sky!!!
