At that age she wasn't using her own eggs.  She had to use donor eggs from a much younger woman.  The doctors still couldn't get a clue from that because they start pushing donor eggs when you hit 40.  When you hit a certain age you need to give up the hope of having a baby biologically.  There are plenty of kids out there in the world who need a home if your mothering instinct is that strong. 

Now something smells a little fishy.  I once heard that a woman is born with all of the eggs she'll ever have.  Now if they had to give her some donor eggs that should have been a clue that she was older than she claimed to be. 

I would've offered her azz some Easter eggs and tell her to have a nice day.

When the initial report of the births was released, it was reported that this was a family w/ money so although it wasn't right....and that leaving the country her money talked, the children should be provided for.  They have adult aged siblings and were already being raised by Nannys (per the report).

A woman is born with all the eggs she will ever have.  Once a woman hits 40 the quality of those remaining eggs drops exponentially... meaning greater chances of birth defects or downs syndrome.  She went into the clinic claiming to be 55 and I'm pretty sure that the clinic refused to even consider using her eggs.  A 55 year old is not going to have viable eggs through the process used to release and retrieve them. 

Its not like a 'Love Tunnel' as you so eloquently put it has rings like a tree so you can figure the age.  I see a lot of old ass women coming into the surgery center I work at trying to have infertility treatments.  I'm not sure what part of menopause begins in the 50's most often that these chicks don't get.  And let me tell ya infertility tratments are not cheap!
