She thinks shes all that!!!

I am not sure how many of you have had to deal with this, but I need some help. Here's the story.....I work at a hospital, and most of the people that I work with are women. I have overheard them making comments about me such as..."She thinks shes all that now that she has lost weight." "She thinks shes cute." I do not in any way shape or form believe that this is true. Yes I do carry myself with confidence, I do think I am an attractive person, I walk with my head up, and I respect myself. However I did all of this before. I just dont get why women cant compliment eachother and just keep moving. I have noticed that I get more attention for some of the men that I work with, but is that my fault. I just smile and keep going. I am only 7 weeks out and down 60 lbs. What will it be like once I lose 100 lbs or 150? Is this something that I should get use to, or will it stop once people get use to the smaller me?

Like Kim said, get used to it.  I can only tell you this...Do not allow anyone to steal your joy!

Men will get nicer.

Women will get nastier.

You are so right. I get compliments from men all the time, and they just keep it moving. But women........these heffers are just a mess.

That is women for ya. It will only get worse, the more you lose. Let it roll off your back. THEY think you are all that for even bringing it up!!! Many people can't stand to see an overweight person get healthy and slim down. They are insecure themselves, but feel better if they aren't the big one.

Your last line is so true. When I was bigger than a few of them or the same size we were best of friends. Now that I am smaller than them, I think Im all that. My size really has nothing to do with it. I pride myself on having my stuff together and handeling my business. I guess since I am so young that makes soem of them unconfortable.

I thought someone may say that. LOL, I just dont understand why as grown women we still do this. I did not have surgery to be more attractive. I had it b/c at 27 I weighed 390 lbs, I was scared that at the rate I was going I would never live to see 30. I guess some people just dont get it.
