if someone gave you a compliment.....you kindly said "thank you!" and they say, "you can say it like you mean it!" WTF?!....hell, maybe they were offended....that just crossed my mind

Sounds like they don't give compliments much and was thinking ....dayum, at least say it like ya mean it! SMH

ROFLMAO......girl, it was so crazy....dingy baby Phil stopped and asked for directions.....even though I KNEW where the place was....the man is just hardhead!

So, it was two ladies and one man.....girl, she complimented my hair....my nails....my eyes....my face.....then she said, "you have the most gorgeous lips" and started to pucker hers to make the "full lip" face....she was rubbing on my hand.....I'm like

and her husband was just staring at me......

She had on some bad asse sunglasses....Imma find those sunglasses....LOL

.....that statement kind of cancels out the compliment that was given

Was it one of those compliment that when given, that person expected you to return the compliment?

Example:
What is said:
Person 1 (who stood in the mirror this mornign looking at theirself and thinking "damn I look good": That is a very pretty dress you have on
Person 2: Thank you

What was expected:
Person 1: that is a very pretty dress you have on
Person 2: Girl, thank you, that dress you have on is slamming as well.

Some folks give compliment in hope to get one.

I have learned that a lot of folks on here do not want to hear what YOU have to say. They want you to SAY WHAT they want to hear.

I simply say thank you and keep going. If they would have said that to me I would have said "How about next time I dont even say thank you." I can sometime have a smart mouth...lol
