Ok, I dont, know your reason for coming here. Do you just want to stay downtown DC or is it that your function is downtown dc and you trying to cut down on the driving??
Asking about parking mean that you will have a car....with the traffic in DC and the one way streets that may confused the hell out of you, have you consider a hotel in VA or MD and then taking the metro to DC. Most hotels away from DC have free parking, The parking at the metro is $4.25 each time you exit the station, so if you are on the move, this too can be costly. If I knew more of what you need, I may could help you more. Feel free to hit me in pm if you need more one on one help.

Girl, stay somewhere in Bowie. Park your car at the Bowie park and ride (it's FREE). Jump on the bus at the park and ride and it will take you to the New Carrolton train station. From there, you can go all over DC, MD, and VA. You can even take the train into Baltimore from the New Carrolton station.
Parking in DC is treacherous!! I had my truck towed, booted, and I still have unpaid parking tickets.
