I am soooooooooooo tired from yesterday..... All day bbq at ny brother and sis-in-law house.

Later I am going to make...... Chicken Fried Steak, mashed potatoes and brocolli.

Then later off to see Beyonce in concert...

Hey girl - I read the review of the concert here from last night - sounds like I ain't miss much since I did go to the last one - I still wanted to go tho...... but she'll be back in another year or two - dats aiight!!!!!

Lap Band on 02/14/07

Hello Trina,

My holiday was great yesterday. I had the opportunity to spend time with my family eating, laughing, playing games and shooting fireworks. I was not responsible for anything (because of me just having surgery) other than showing up and eating and that is exactly what I did. Although my little "band friend" showed out for a little while, I was able to indulge a little.

Your meal sounds delicious MM! When I got back last night, I placed my brisket that had been marinading all day in the oven on 250 allowed it to cook all night. So my Sunday dinner is:

slow roasted brisket
purple hull peas
rice
corn
cornbread

Whenever I cook the brisket slow it seems to be juicier and more tender. The only way I know to describe purple hull peas is to say that they are similar to blackeye peas and if you had to shell them the hull from which they come is purple looking in color.

Whatever hubby cooks or go buys because I'm still not 100% and I start back to work tomorrow. So it's probably rotisserie chicken of KFC grilled chicken and a side dish or a grilled chicken salad.

went to Mikki's Cafe after church and got the Apricot Chicken with green beans, yams and dressing....I'll be eating off of this plate for the next couple of days!
