My 13 Year Old son thinks he's gay

Or you could have ended up struggling  with straight tendencies

No seriously you honestly believe most gay folks were molested by the same sex and that is the reason they are gay??

 

 

I will retract my earlier post of "most', but  yes, way more than people are willing to admit.   

It kinda feels like you are saying someone that wasn't able to twist/warp shiot enough to be gay and feel "normal" is a failure

I understand you are speaking from YOUR experience, with folks being prayed over living "normal" lives getting married and all (because we all know getting married is total validation of ones being)...but IMO based upon MY experience your logic is hurtful and flawed

I understand where you are coming from spiritually and my heart breaks for you because I know that you are so concerned for you son.  I don't blame you.  I would feel the same.  I always wished that being Godly people would protect us from certain things.  It doesn't.  We still have to deal with an evil world.  Jesus overcame the world and He is the ONLY answer now.  He can and will deliver your son.  I wish I had some amazing insight that would change things for you instantly, but what I KNOW works is Gods hand and His ability to heal.  Don't stop praying and going forward in Faith.  Trust that God can do this.  When the enemy comes in like a flood. The Lord raises a standard.

I am a mother of 5 children - ages 8, 9, 20, 21 and 24.  I will tell you that I have gone thru the GOOD, the BAD and the downright UGLY.  Many times I blamed myself but, I realize that every child makes choices.  I recently found this poem.  I sent it to each of my older children and will have it framed for each of them.  I hope this helps you as much as it helped me.

All you can do is pray for your son and give him the love and support he needs. Love is so hard no matter if you are gay or straight. I am a Christian but my views might be different than others believers. I have a cousin who is gay we are very close because he says I have never judged him. I am a firm believer I have to worry about my walk with God and if I am judging others I most likely missed a few steps. When we were little I never knew what gay was but I knew there was something different about him. I know he was born that way there was nothing that turned him gay. His father disowned him and he lived for his father's love we had a talk one night before his father died he told me he would do anything for his father and if he could change being gay he would do it in a heartbeat, all I could say in my opinion God made you and God makes no mistakes. Is he going to hell for being I am not God so I cant say all I can do I love him the way God told us to love each other. Hope this helps.
