Ahhhh the memories...

Ayy yo,

Ever since I've had WLS I've noticed that I am having the darndest time remembering little simple things.  For example, the other day I drove all the way to Wal-Mart to buy a few things.  I got all the way into the store and was about to grab a cart, and then it hit me - I didn't even bring my wallet with me.  Dayum!

Another fun time, I walked all the way upstairs to get my keys and the phone rang.  After deciding that I was too busy to answer it, I headed back downstairs.  As soon as I reached the bottom step, it dawned on me that I had forgotten my keys.  While heading back upstairs for my keys again, my daughter asked me to fix her closet door.  Great!  Five minutes after I was done with that, I headed to my garage to unlock my tool cabinet.  Standing there staring at the locked cabinet, it took me another five minutes to figure out how come I didn't have my keys to open the dayum cabinet in the first place.

How about you, BAFers?  Has your short-term memory been affected by your WLS?

How are your Vitamin B levels baby? Memory probelms could be a sign of B12 deficency Take notice of any and all changes and keep your doc posted...seriously. Catching things early can be beneficial!!!

It's funny that you should mention the vitamin B levels because a friend of mine who had WLS about 4 years ago told me that she uses Omega-3 dietary supplements because of this very same reason and she said that they have definitely helped her.

B12 deficency (as well any any others) can be VERY dangerous over time...I care about cha man so I want to be sure this ain't a fluke thing that's all
